Strong intentions need stronger plans: Dr. Jen Drumm shares how creative leaders can get structure & movement to stay in flow
If your routine is missing the support you need, read on.
Even the most creative minds can find themselves in a rut—stuck in routines that once worked but no longer feel energizing. We get so caught up in producing, planning, and pushing forward that we forget how much our minds rely on movement, rest, and rhythm to stay sharp.
For many creative leaders, physical wellness is often the missing piece—not because it isn’t valued, but because it’s hard to prioritize in the middle of everything else. But what if movement wasn’t just a task to check off, but a way to reconnect with ourselves and our ideas?
Meet Dr. Jen Drumm, D.C, Chiropractor and Fitness Coach who empowers females to regain confidence, make movement safe & comfortable and feel energized day to day.
In this Spotlight, Dr. Jen shares insights shaped by her own lived experiences as a Chiropractor, certified Fitness Trainer, and 2x bikini competitor champion —experiences that have taught her the value of structure, clarity, and care when it comes to wellness and creativity. Her responses offer a quiet nudge toward more intentional living—reminding us that growth often comes not from doing more, but from tuning in to what actually moves us.
One of Dr. Jen’s most resonant reflections? “You don’t need to be highly disciplined if you genuinely are excited and passionate about what you’re doing.”
Whether you’re looking to refine your routines, reconnect with your creative flow, or simply feel more grounded in your body, there’s something here to take with you.

Purposeful Programming with Dr. Jen: The Interview
doc Peace: What's a lesser-known technique or approach in your creative domain that has consistently fueled your success?
Dr. Jen: The quality of the fitness programming; it covers all types of fitness (upper, lower, cardio, total, mobility, body weight, HIIT) and is progressive. Most apps have 2-6 week programs with no continuous structure that produces results. Hit Play Fitness uses progressive programming and most unique from other programs/apps, members have a coach they can text and a community forum in the app. It's the best programming & allows interaction with a coach and other members (unheard of in the fitness app space).
doc Peace: Can you detail your approach to creating a compelling narrative structure that keeps your audience engaged from start to finish?
Dr. Jen: I create content that is more niche now; the more niche, the more immediate and dedicated the audience. I've worked on getting SUPER clear on their needs and then putting out content that not only gave free value, but my content also has a lot of interactive opportunities and calls-to-action. I adopted a more personable & inviting dynamic, for a small group of people, and the results have been more engagement.
doc Peace: In your opinion, how does storytelling through your work allow you to communicate powerful messages or emotions?
Dr. Jen: Story telling cuts through objections and builds trust so that your audience immediately tunes into your message; once that boundary is cleared, the power of the message increases, as your vulnerability and authenticity increased. Be real, honest and personable. That connection transcends so much.
doc Peace: GOLD! What's one aspect of your creative journey that you wish you had learned earlier, and why?
Dr. Jen: I wish I had spent as much time as I needed to gain deeper clarity around the pain points and specific needs of my target audience, and built up my systems centered around them, rather than what was typical, aesthetic, common, etc. Feeling confidence in the direction and what value you bring, is way more important than speed or amount of content.
doc Peace: Share your top TWO go-to tools for elevating your creative projects.
Dr. Jen: 1. Canva (all editing, videos, etc) has great features, is super easy to use and there are tons of social and YouTube tutorials that can teach the ins-and-outs in a few hours. 2. Click Funnels program: this is an online platform that hosts my website, allows me to create links/urls of any project, serves as a collection point for an email list, etc.
Final thoughts on leading from within
Dr. Jen: Any leadership or high responsibility role will require grind, patience and work, so my #1 tip is to make sure that you deeply connect to and care about the vision you're chasing or the people you're serving. You don't need to be highly disciplined if you genuinely are excited and passionate about what you're doing, but if you aren't obsessed with it, the trying times will be very hard to get past. Choose your path according to what speaks to your soul, create with clarity and be graceful with yourself: a new journey not only requires new creation, but it also requires you to change with it. Persist and believe in yourself, and it will happen.
As always reminding you that Your Creativity + Expertise = Your Soul Purpose. It is YOU who ultimately chooses to soulfully express and be GOLD - a Genuine Original Loving Dreamer.
