I Said I Wanted My Products in Stores. Then I Found Faire.

How relentless email marketing, clean aesthetics, and one deeper look turned into the next chapter for Floverb™ Keepsakes.

For months, I’ve been saying the next step for Floverb™ Keepsakes is retail.

Not just selling online.

I want to walk into a thoughtfully curated gift shop, bookstore, wellness space, museum store—or some unexpected little boutique I love—and see a Floverb sitting on the shelf.

A card someone picks up because the words hit at exactly the right time.

A keepsake ornament they buy for a friend…and maybe grab another for themselves.

The question was: How do I actually get from here to there?

Apparently, part of the answer had been sitting in my inbox.

Faire kept emailing me. And emailing me. And emailing me.

At some point, I landed on Faire’s email list.

I honestly don't even remember how.

But the emails kept coming.

And coming.

And eventually, between the relentless email marketing and the clean aesthetics, they got me. 😂

I finally thought:

Okay. What exactly IS Faire?

So I dug deeper.

And then it clicked.

Ohhhhh. It’s a wholesale marketplace.

Turns out, Faire has been around since 2017. Founded by a team led by Max Rhodes, a former Square product leader and small-business owner, the platform was built to connect independent brands with retailers looking for products to stock.

Well, hello there.

Because that was literally the next move I had already identified for my business.

From “I want to get into stores” to actually becoming wholesale-ready

There’s a difference between saying:

“I’d love to see my products in stores.”

and building a business that makes it easy for a store to actually say:

“Yes. I’ll carry these.”

Before Faire, I had already created a wholesale one-sheet for Floverb™ Keepsakes.

Useful? Absolutely.

But a one-sheet still leaves another step.

A retailer sees your products. They’re interested. Then…what?

How much is wholesale?

What's the minimum order?

What quantities can they purchase?

How does ordering work?

How do they reorder?

Where do they pay?

That’s what immediately appealed to me about creating a Faire shop.

Instead of simply telling a retailer that Floverb™ Keepsakes are available wholesale, I could send them somewhere that feels like an actual wholesale buying experience.

My products. Wholesale pricing. Order minimums. Product specifications. Collections. Photography. Brand story.

All organized in one place with an established process for placing an order.

That felt like infrastructure—not just marketing.

But I didn't just upload my existing shop and call it a day.

Once I decided to launch on Faire, I wanted the shop to speak to a retail buyer, not simply repurpose everything I'd created for consumers.

That distinction changed a lot.

I spent time creating new square graphics specifically for the marketplace.

I reconsidered which information belonged in the images.

I rewrote product descriptions through a wholesale lens.

Instead of only asking:

“Why would someone want to receive this?”

I also started asking:

“Why would a retailer want to stock this?”

Is it giftable year-round?

Is it easy to merchandise?

What kinds of stores would it fit?

What does the assortment look like?

How is it packaged?

What is the MSRP?

How does the wholesale pricing work?

Would someone discover one design and want to see another?

That exercise alone was valuable because it forced me to look at Floverb™ Keepsakes from the other side of the shelf.

And then…Faire featured Floverb™ Keepsakes as a New Brand.

That felt GOOD.

Because I hadn't simply gotten onto the platform.

I had spent time optimizing the shop after launch—tightening listings, building out the assortment, refining the imagery and making the wholesale presentation feel cohesive.

Then Floverb™ Keepsakes was featured as a New Brand on Faire.

A little digital shelf space, if you will, on the way toward the physical shelf space I'm building toward.

And that’s the part of entrepreneurship I think we sometimes skip over.

There’s the big vision.

Then there are all these tiny pieces of infrastructure you build underneath it until, eventually, the vision has somewhere to land.

If you make something cool, think beyond selling it one at a time.

If you're building a physical product and you've been thinking:

I want this in stores.

Faire may be worth exploring.

Especially if your current wholesale strategy is basically:

make a line sheet → find an email address → cross your fingers.

You may still need to do the outreach. I certainly am.

But now, instead of asking a buyer to look at a PDF and then figure out the next step, I can point them toward an established wholesale storefront where they can browse the collection and place an order.

That makes the path from “This is interesting” → “Let's stock it” a whole lot cleaner.

And if you're curious what I've built before creating your own, you're welcome to snoop. 😉

Behind the Design

Every Floverb™ begins with a moment—a conversation, a season of growth, a quiet realization during a sunset walk, or a line that flowed in my dreams late one night and scribbled in my notebook in the dark. In this series, I’ll take you behind the words, sharing the stories, travels, and inspirations that shape each design.
